Oregon Dream Makeover® was co-founded by Jocelyn Webber and Ragan Corliss in 2008. It didn’t take Jocelyn Webber, a hair stylist at Studio Catwalk salon, long to find a way to carry on the love of her father, whom she recently and unexpectedly lost from an aneurism while he was visiting her. “Basically ever since my dad died last October, (2007), I wanted to find a way to carry on his love and really make an impact in someone's life. As a mom I couldn't imagine having to watch one of my own children go through leukemia, so I felt especially drawn to the Huddleston family.” Consequently Jocelyn set out to put on a special event to help the Huddleston family by raising funds to contribute toward the medical bills which were only covered in small part by their insurance.

After Marissa Huddleston explained to Jocelyn that her dream was to be on
Extreme Makeover, Jocelyn proposed the idea to Ragan Corliss, owner of
an interior decorating company in SE Portland, to provide a makeover for Marissa’s room and possibly her sister Molly’s room as well. Ragan loved the idea, and offered to collaboratively turn it into an annual, local event for deserving recipients. And thus a non-profit organization was formed to raise funds for doing much more than just bedroom makeovers for sisters, Marissa and Molly.
